Characteristics of high-pressure flanges
Discussion on the characteristics of high-pressure flanges
Analysis of sealing method, tensile strength, anti circuitous function, compressive strength, and impact resistance of high-pressure flanges.
1. Sealing method: The center of the high-pressure self tightening flange is a unique new type of metal to metal sealing, which relies on the elastic deformation of the sealing lip (T-shaped arm) of the sealing ring to form a seal, classified as a hard seal; The combination of joints, clamps, and sealing rings is applied to form a strong rigid body, making the strength of the connecting part much greater than the strength of the pipeline base material itself. When under pressure, the ribs and lips play a strength and sealing role respectively, which can not only self seal but also strengthen the pipeline, greatly enhancing the overall strength of the connecting parts
2. Tensile strength: In most cases, the high-pressure self tightening flange in the connection can withstand tensile loads better than the pipeline itself; Destructive inspection proves that after the pipeline fails under tensile load, this flange is still intact and undisclosed.
3. Anti detour function: Many tests have shown that this flange will not reveal or loosen when subjected to large detour loads. Theoretical test: The high-pressure self tightening flange according to the DN15 specification has undergone multiple cold bends when welded to the pipeline, and the connection of the high-pressure self tightening flange is not disclosed, and the bolts are not loose.
4. Compression resistance: In normal pipeline applications, high-pressure self tightening flanges will not be able to withstand overload tightening; When a high tightening load occurs, the maximum load on the high-pressure self tightening flange is determined by the ultimate strength of the pipeline.
5. Impact resistance: several small and compact scales, capable of withstanding impact forces that traditional high-pressure flanges cannot withstand; The common metal to metal sealing structure greatly enhances its impact resistance function.
